We went back to Mudgeeraba for parkrun today - it's a great course in this time of the year as it is quite shady. It was already 25 degrees Celsius at 7am, with a humidity of 70%.
I had told myself I would just take it easy and enjoy my run - I ran a new course PB here only four weeks ago (and course PBs at two other parkruns since then), no need to do that again so soon!
But of course I couldn't resist giving it a go... and I ended up with a new course PB, 6 seconds faster than the previous one! 31:16, my fifth fastest parkrun time overall and fourth highest age grade (53.62%). Very pleased with that result! I also got a new nuber for my stopwatch bingo (up to 44/60 now, after 79 parkruns), and since this was my fifth parkrun at Mudgeeraba, my p-index (p parkruns run at least p times) is now up to 5! (if you have no idea what I am talking about check out the parkrun challenges here)
